About Us

The Orange Brain Company LLC was founded in August 1994. Our on-line presence was established online in December 1997. Although we are located in Olympia, Washington, we've conducted training and consulting throughout the United States, Canada, and Western Europe.

The Orange Brain Company began with the release of InstallShield version 2.0, providing training and consulting services to companies around the world. Our InstallShield (and now Macrovision) expertise is truly unsurpassed. In fact, The Orange Brain Company has worked with InstallShield Corporation to develop and perform training programs, consulting, and conference presentations on its behalf.

The Orange Brain Company's founder, Leslie Easter, is the author of Bulletproof Installs: A Developer's Guide to Install Programs for Windows (Prentice-Hall). His enthusiastic presentation style is second only to his knowledge of designing and developing install programs. Since creating InstallShield's training program, he has traveled from coast-to-coast and throughout the world conducting InstallShield training.

Leslie is currently working on several new books related to install development. He expects those to be released in the first half of 2006.

After earning a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Washington, Leslie was hired by Intel as a member of the MULTIBUS design team. Within two years, Microsoft offered him a position as a member of the original Windows NT team. After five years with Microsoft and the shipment of Windows NT 3.1, Leslie moved to Boston to start The Orange Brain Company. The company relocated to Olympia, Washington in June of 2005.
